MOIRA POTTERY COMPANY was known for their popular and underrated HILLSTONIA. The company started in 1922 making jam jars and progressed to making more specialist pottery such as Hillstonia mostly between the years of 1934 and 1972 when it closed.Hillstonia was decorative ware for bulbs & plants, mostly handmade and is glazed inside and unglazed outside. The company was situated approx 8kms from Burton on Trent.
